Auction Ending, Protection Talismans, Flash Sale & Imbolc Projects

So this beauty is ending in just about two hours, and I’m shocked that it’s had just two bids. The current high bid is just $40, and this set by The Healer’s Touch easily has a value of $100.

"Dark Angel" Intricate Goldstone Necklace & Earring Set by The Healer's Touch

I’ve been really busy this past week, catching up on chores, getting a pile of packages ready to ship out by Monday, and being forced to rest after pushing myself too hard. We’re finally caught up on laundry and fairly well stocked with groceries, which is really nice. I’ve been working on some new protection talismans, and I am pretty smitten. These are all handmade on metal rings with recycled sari silk yarn. Some have highfired ceramic pendants attached, which can be used as essential oil diffusers. All have a wee vial of black salt with a twist-off top, so that you can empty and refill the vial when/if you choose to do so. I’m not quite done with these yet, but I’d love to hear what you think of my works in progress! The photo with multiple pieces shows some of the variety so far; the close-up is truer to the actual colors of this gorgeous rainbow sari yarn!

I also just realized that I hadn’t posted our Imbolc projects here. We were incredibly glad and grateful to be able to stash away some supplies to make Brighid’s crosses and dolls for the first time this year. You can see my first cross and our dolls below. My doll is on the left; AJ’s is on the right and makes me think of Janis Joplin channeling Brighid, hehe. Obviously the dolls aren’t very traditional, but we had fun with them and these were wonderful bonding experiences, with the Lady and one another. As soon as I have some spare energy to devote to them, I’m planning to decorate my crosses a wee bit with some of this lovely sari yarn.

It is my hope that I’ll be able to get some new jewelry posted in the coming days, as well as adding the first batch of pentagram talismans to my shop. In the meantime, there’s a flash sale happening now! You can find more info here. I generally post to Facebook and Instagram fairly quickly when I have new goodies, and I try to post here regularly as well.

Thanks so much for your support!
❤ Bri

More new pretties for a good cause!

I had a few spoons available for easy work tonight, so I made some adorable new thank you gifts for the fundraiser happening now over on Facebook. Included among them are some exclusive pendants made by Art by Starla Moore just for our fundraisers last year when we were working to move from Tennessee to the Pacific Northwest; I’d misplaced the last few and just found them again. Perfect timing!

Hubby and I are both disabled. I have fibro along with PCOS and a number of related issues, while he is still on his diagnosis journey. We are both only able to work from home, and we are blessed that he has a steady part-time job to which he telecommutes. It’s been a pretty rough few months for us with a shockingly dead holiday season for my shop. We’re working hard to find ways to cover things like transportation to our many medical appointments, small personal/hygiene needs as they arise, meds not covered by insurance (particularly CBD tincture, which adds up at a $30 bottle weekly), and food for the portion of the month our SNAP benefits do not cover.

Your support — whether through purchases via my shop, contributions to our fundraisers or helping to boost the signal on Facebook or elsewhere — is so very much appreciated and makes a huge difference!

Much love and many blessings,
❤ Bri

New pretties & special deals!

Earlier this week, I made and listed a whole bunch of simple, pretty pieces with gemstone vials and/or cabochons, all priced just $9-$12. Many of these are still available in the special deals section of my shop, along with some recently marked-down older pieces.

You can also still save 20% on all regularly-priced jewelry using the code “BYE2015” through the 31st, and don’t forget that you can snag a deal on a grab bag or a discounted gift code through our GoFundMe fundraiser. I’m also still looking for donations for our upcoming Facebook fundraiser, if you’d like to make a contribution there.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope that you’ve all had a wonderful holiday season, whatever you celebrate (or not). ❤

Blessings,
Bri

Wisdom: OOAK Necklace with Dragon Vein Agate & FaceARTifacts Pendant

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES
This gorgeous, one of a kind piece features a combination of shimmery dark gold Czech glass seed beads, dragon vein agate (also known as fire crackle agate), shimmery green Czech glass rondelles and bright copper spacers. A stunning pendant handmade by the talented Deveon from FaceARTifacts hangs from an antiqued copper bail with a dragonfly design.
SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESThe approximate length is 20.5″. The pendant hangs down a total of 2.75″ from the beaded strand. This piece can be shortened on request; please contact me before ordering to make arrangements. Depending on the desired size, there may be a small restringing fee.

Agates are stones of protection, harmony and strength. It is helpful in summoning creative energy and easing anxiety, and is a wonderful stone to use in children’s jewelry and charms, with how strong a protector agate tends to be. It is also a fantastic stone for neutralizing or dispelling negative energies. Depending on the variety of agate, it is well used in chakra balancing; just match the color of the stone to that of the chakra.

Copper tends to stimulate and encourage optimism, independence, harmony, luck, sexuality, intuition and general vitality. Copper is a wonderful conductor of healing energy and its properties are useful in many areas of healing.

Giveaway & auction extended through Tuesday!

Heya, friends! My Friday the 13th auction is still running and has been extended by 24 hours. It will end tomorrow night at 7:00 Pacific time, a little over 25 hours from now. All of the pieces shown in the collage are up for bid, along with many others. As I type, there are a dozen pieces without bids and many more with just 1-2 bids. There is also a door prize giveaway!

Not only will the proceeds from this auction help support a hard-working disabled couple with limited income, but we are also donating 10% of this month’s proceeds (after PayPal fees) to Nar Nar’s Voyages to help a little girl battling leukemia and her family in their time of need.

Time to play catch up… New pieces, discounts, upcoming auction & grab bags!

2015-05-27-MAY33Heya, friends! I recently sent out questionnaires for fundraiser grab bags, and I’ll be working concurrently on getting the first sets of grab bags together, working on the last of the older custom orders, and making new pieces for my shop over the next couple of weeks. I’ll try to get better about posting them here again as I make new pieces. In the meantime, if you are due a reward and haven’t found the email titled “Grab Bag Questionnaire”, please get in touch and let me know that you haven’t received it.

You can see my newest coupon codes to the left… Just enter the code of your choice during checkout via my shop, either “MAY33” to save 33% on any pre-coupon purchase of at least $25 OR “FREESHIP” for free US S&H on any order of at least $15. Both are good through the end of May.

I’m planning a jewelry auction for the first weekend in June, most likely running from the 4th through the 8th. Keep an eye on my FB page for details as I figure them out; the auction will take place on FB. (If you have a moment to stop by and show my recent posts some love to help boost my signal, I’d appreciate that very much too!)

Oh, and before I forget… For anyone who missed it, here’s the screenshot of the donations your purchases in April helped me to make! I posted this on FB and forgot to share it here a couple of weeks ago.

This isn’t everything I’ve made since my last major jewelry upload, but here are some of the highlights… Some of these are still available in my shop, and I’ll have more added soon! Among my personal favorites of this bunch are the marijuana bud necklaces. As a medical marijuana patient who went from being on high doses of narcotics and many additional pharmaceuticals just to be able to function, to now just using my MMJ and about half of the meds I was on previously — no more narcotics! — along with a healthier diet, I am amazed at how much better I feel.

I’ve been pleased by the response so far, and I’ll continue to make marijuana-themed jewelry because I am a firm supporter of the legalization of marijuana for medical, spiritual and recreational use… Your purchase of any of those pieces will help you show your support for marijuana reform, and will also help make sure that this patient doesn’t have to go without her meds. If there is enough response, I’ll also start donating a percentage of sales of these pieces to organizations working toward reform. If you have suggestions for great orgs that are underfunded, please let me know! I’m always thrilled to have a chance to pay it forward after all of the help we’ve received along our journey out of serious poverty and the chronic threat of a return to homelessness. More
