Hello, friends! ❤ This week’s auction ended earlier tonight, and just about everyone’s paid up. Huge thanks to everyone who placed bids, purchased items or services donated by the amazing folks who have contributed their time and wares, and/or helped to spread the word!
I was able to borrow from our grocery fund in order to restock while we were out with friends on Tuesday, and I am now set for meds until the end of next week. The latest auction purchases even paid back the grocery fund for that loan, so that we’ll have that need taken care of tomorrow. Now I just need to work on scraping up the funds for the next MMJ restock — any contribution to my GoFundMe campaign means that you’ll be included in near-daily group distance Reiki in the near future, unless you choose to opt out.
I am of course working on some ways that I hope will help us to become more self-sufficient over time, and a big part of that is figuring out how we are going to move ourselves to Oregon, where we’ll be able to grow our own medicine in a state run by people who have more compassion and empathy for patients on limited incomes who need this medicine — and they also have a separate MMJ system that survived the legalization of recreational marijuana. We were just blindsided by how much this expense increased literally overnight when WA closed down all dispensaries, and we need some help while we figure things out.
Thanks again, everyone! Whatever form your support has taken, we appreciate it and we appreciate you. 🙂
Much love and many blessings,
PS: You can still use the code RAIDHSE50 to take 50% off jewelry through Sunday, or RAIDHSE25 for 25% off everything else in my shop!

I had no idea that it would be against anyone’s rules to raise funds for my legal medicine, but Fundrazr closed my campaign, didn’t respond to my inquiries, and then deleted my entire account when I posted a new campaign raising funds for bills and rent, with the cost of my medication coming out of our earnings. Apparently it’s against some weird arbitrary rule to run a fundraiser when you are a medical marijuana patient… How odd. And their customer service is awful, at least if they have a problem with your campaign and you attempt to discuss the matter with them.
So I went back to GoFundMe, which I’d used previously to help us get settled in the Pacific Northwest. I contacted their customer service and asked whether I could raise funds for my 100% legal medical marijuana. The rep who helped me was super nice and I was reassured that it would be fine, as long as it was clearly stated in the campaign info where I’m located and that it’s legal here. I should have stuck with them in the first place; I was just hoping not to have to wait up to a week for withdrawn funds to hit my bank account now that I can no longer use PayPal on GoFundMe. (My account had previously been grandfathered in using PayPal.)
At least it all worked out in the end! 🙂 You can visit the new fundraiser here. All donations made on Fundrazr have been added to the new tally, along with funds for items that other vendors have donated to sell in my new Facebook group. (If you’d like to add one or more items, please get in touch! So far, everyone has donated 100% of proceeds, but I’d be fine with a 50% split as well.)
Apologies for any confusion, dears! Much love to you. ❤

Hello, friends! I’m sorry that it’s been so long since I updated here. It’s been quite a tough year for me and AJ, health-wise. When I’m doing poorly, it’s very difficult for me to keep up with this blog and all of my social media accounts. I usually end up defaulting to Facebook, because that is where 90% of my social life takes place as a spoonie.
As many of you know, I’ve been a chronic pain patient for 15 years now, having finally received diagnoses of fibromyalgia and arthritis in the past year, along with a slew of related health issues. After five years of struggling to get back on our feet after a difficult job loss and increased illness, AJ and I moved to Washington state in November of 2014.
I’d previously been on narcotic pain medication for a number of years. When I stopped taking them, I realized that there were a number of negative side effects I’d been experiencing, which vanished fairly suddenly… So I wouldn’t be interested in being on narcotics on a daily basis now, even if there were doctors willing to prescribe them with the current war on narcotics.
In my new home, I started seeking relief by going to a clinic where medical marijuana recommendations are provided. I got my recommendation easily once I got hold of a copy of my medical records. For the next year, I was able to do a relatively decent job of keeping this pain medicine around, but when my business slowed down significantly this year, I began to struggle. More

Heya, friends! I just realized that it has been quite a while since I posted here. After noticing some problematic side effects, I’ve been going through quite a difficult patch pain-wise while tapering off of Cymbalta under the care of a doctor who doesn’t seem to believe that the withdrawal is a big deal. Without much help, it’s been difficult to function many days. I’ve already gone from 60 mg down to 20 mg, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer until I’m actually starting to feel human again. I am grateful that I have at least been able to turn to MMJ; on higher doses of Cymbalta, my tolerance was so low that I had to stop taking THC meds and they are one of the few things that have kept me sane during this transition.
Most of the beaded pieces in my shop have been recently reduced. The entirety of my Maryjane Collection has been priced to move for a while now and I’m not sure why it hasn’t. I guess I’m just not reaching my target audience with them. Either way, what’s left is affordable to begin with and insanely cheap when combined with my 20% off coupon, “MARCH20” — which, as you may have guessed, expires at the end of the month. At this point, I probably won’t make many more marijuana-themed pieces unless I get custom orders for them.
I’m also offering some other special deals…
And have you seen my epic giveaway? There are two prize packs worth over $85 each, including new products that I’m thinking of bringing to the shop. Follow this link for full details on prizes and how to enter.
I’ll keep trying to get better about posting here, and if you’re on Instagram or Facebook, I invite you to follow me there as well. I post daily on Facebook and am also pretty active on Instagram. I try to also keep up with Pinterest, but it hasn’t been playing nice with my phone lately.
Lots of love and many blessings to you, friends! I hope that your spring is off to a beautiful start.

I’m so sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve updated here! I’ve been getting overwhelmed when trying to post an update, so I think the easiest way to get you caught up is to share a post that was published on Facebook a couple of weeks ago.
I have since gotten caught up on shipping, and I am planning to ship again at the end of next week. I also have a fairly quick turnaround time for most custom orders at the moment. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you’re interested in a custom piece as a holiday gift, to ensure that I am able to ship in time for whichever holiday(s) you may celebrate, and be sure to tell me in advance when your deadline is.
I also have a 30% off deal running through the end of the week! As many of you know, I am a medical marijuana patient. I go through about one small bottle of CBD tincture weekly. I can’t afford much, but the small amount that I take helps me function and get through most days without crazy amounts of pain. The policies of the dispensary that has delivered to me for months have changed, and I now basically have to order in bulk or pay exorbitant delivery fees for my usual small orders. So I’m looking to raise funds for three bottles, which would mean no fee.
At the same time, about half of the supplements and OTC meds that we take on a daily basis are about to run out. Neither of us will be able to function well if we run out of staples like OTC painkillers, decongestants and meds that help us avoid IBS flares.
We sincerely appreciate any and all help getting the word out about this fundraiser! I’m also running low on beading wire and may be running out temporarily, but I will do my best to get some new goodies posted while this event is happening, starting tonight. If you want to help but can’t afford to shop at the moment or nothing I have listed in the shop speaks to you, please remember that interacting with recent posts on my Facebook page helps a lot with boosting the signal. In particular, I would appreciate it so much if you’d consider liking, commenting on and/or sharing this post.
Thank you so much for your time and attention! I’m hoping to be fully back on the ball soon. 🙂

These beauties are all new to my shop, and they’re all quite reasonably priced… Plus you can get free US S&H through the end of the month, on any regularly-priced order of at least $15! Just use the code “FREESHIP” during checkout. 🙂 I’d love to hear what you think of these new pieces!
I also have a wee favor to ask. If you’re on Facebook, could you pop by my page and show my recent posts some love to help keep my voice heard? (Many folks also find it useful to friend or follow my public personal account, where I share posts from my page to boost the signal.) Thanks so much for your support!
If you’re one of the folks frustrated with the new FB algorithms and how they affect what makes it into your feed, please remember that I’m also on Instagram, Pinterest (which I haven’t been great about posting to lately) and Twitter… And I’ll have a brand new email newsletter that you can sign up for soon!
