I got a few new pieces listed yesterday, and updated the photos for some items that had indoor pictures with bad lighting. I love the Pacific Northwest rainy winters after growing up surrounded by piles of snow in and around Boston, but it can be hard to find a dry period in which to get decent photos! A few of my newer pieces have rain-splattered photos, as it started raining when I was taking them. Here are some of the newest pieces. I would love to hear what you think! Happy new year: updates & huge discount!

Hello, my dears. It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it? The past couple of years have been rough for me, with new chronic hand pain brought on by drugs prescribed for my fibromyalgia. I’m off of that poison now, but they’ve done their damage and I’m still learning every day how to do the best I can as I slowly heal. I’m still been working on new pieces as I can, I’ve just been struggling to keep up with updates on multiple sites. In particular, I’ve been focusing on Facebook. I plan to start updating here and on Instagram more in the new year.

What a long, strange road it’s been.

Hello, friends! It’s sure been a while since I posted here, hasn’t it? The same was true of everywhere but Facebook until I started posting on Instagram again recently.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of brain fog and physical limitations for the past year, and I strongly suspect that everything has continued to be so difficult because of lingering side effects from my time on Cymbalta. I’m very happy to say that I’m finally getting more functionality back, thanks to eating as healthily as I can manage, figuring out which supplements help me the most, becoming a Reiki practitioner, starting to make my own essential oil blends, and using small amounts of MMJ to keep my pain from becoming unbearable. It’s been a long, hard road away from the pharmaceuticals that I’d hoped would help give me my life back. I’m now taking the reins myself when it comes to my fibro and chronic pain, and it feels amazing to be healing.

I’ve been doing monthly auctions to help make ends meet over in my event group on Facebook. There’s one happening right now, ending Thursday evening. There are still many pieces without any bids. Catching Up, Deals & Epic Giveaway!

Heya, friends! I just realized that it has been quite a while since I posted here. After noticing some problematic side effects, I’ve been going through quite a difficult patch pain-wise while tapering off of Cymbalta under the care of a doctor who doesn’t seem to believe that the withdrawal is a big deal. Without much help, it’s been difficult to function many days. I’ve already gone from 60 mg down to 20 mg, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer until I’m actually starting to feel human again. I am grateful that I have at least been able to turn to MMJ; on higher doses of Cymbalta, my tolerance was so low that I had to stop taking THC meds and they are one of the few things that have kept me sane during this transition.

Most of the beaded pieces in my shop have been recently reduced. The entirety of my Maryjane Collection has been priced to move for a while now and I’m not sure why it hasn’t. I guess I’m just not reaching my target audience with them. Either way, what’s left is affordable to begin with and insanely cheap when combined with my 20% off coupon, “MARCH20” — which, as you may have guessed, expires at the end of the month. At this point, I probably won’t make many more marijuana-themed pieces unless I get custom orders for them.

Auction Ending, Protection Talismans, Flash Sale & Imbolc Projects

So this beauty is ending in just about two hours, and I’m shocked that it’s had just two bids. The current high bid is just $40, and this set by The Healer’s Touch easily has a value of $100.

I’ve been really busy this past week, catching up on chores, getting a pile of packages ready to ship out by Monday, and being forced to rest after pushing myself too hard. We’re finally caught up on laundry and fairly well stocked with groceries, which is really nice. I’ve been working on some new protection talismans, and I am pretty smitten. These are all handmade on metal rings with recycled sari silk yarn. Some have highfired ceramic pendants attached, which can be used as essential oil diffusers. All have a wee vial of black salt with a twist-off top, so that you can empty and refill the vial when/if you choose to do so. I’m not quite done with these yet, but I’d love to hear what you think of my works in progress! The photo with multiple pieces shows some of the variety so far; the close-up is truer to the actual colors of this gorgeous rainbow sari yarn!

I also just realized that I hadn’t posted our Imbolc projects here. We were incredibly glad and grateful to be able to stash away some supplies to make Brighid’s crosses and dolls for the first time this year. You can see my first cross and our dolls below. My doll is on the left; AJ’s is on the right and makes me think of Janis Joplin channeling Brighid, hehe. Obviously the dolls aren’t very traditional, but we had fun with them and these were wonderful bonding experiences, with the Lady and one another. As soon as I have some spare energy to devote to them, I’m planning to decorate my crosses a wee bit with some of this lovely sari yarn.

Hubby and I are both disabled. I have fibro along with PCOS and a number of related issues, while he is still on his diagnosis journey. We are both only able to work from home, and we are blessed that he has a steady part-time job to which he telecommutes. It’s been a pretty rough few months for us with a shockingly dead holiday season for my shop. We’re working hard to find ways to cover things like transportation to our many medical appointments, small personal/hygiene needs as they arise, meds not covered by insurance (particularly CBD tincture, which adds up at a $30 bottle weekly), and food for the portion of the month our SNAP benefits do not cover.
