New fundraiser now live!

Hello, lovelies! I know that 2015 was pretty hard on many of us, and my wish for all of us is that 2016 is a bit gentler. I hope that your year is off to a wonderful start! ❤

I just got the Facebook fundraiser up and running. There are just a few items so far, but I think they’re pretty great… Though maybe I’m a bit biased.

Belinda from Feeling a Little Crochety is donating these adorable bookmarks.

I made these sweet li’l sunstone bauble and wooden feather necklaces the other night.

And I’ve also decided to auction off this beauty, featuring a stunning polymer clay pendant by Deveon at FaceARTifacts. The opening bid is just $20!!

I’ll be adding new donation rewards and auction items created by myself and other artists all month long. If you want to know about everything as soon as it’s added, RSVP for the event. I hope to see you there!

India: Rainbow Necklace with Quartz, Amethyst, Czech Glass & Art Pendant by Windy Paints

I don’t often post single pieces on the blog in their very own post anymore, but this one is special.

India Clarke was a transgender woman who was murdered this year. An alarmingly high percentage of violence perpetrated against members of the GLBTQ community occurs in the form of attacks on trans women, particularly trans women of color. The violence against these women — and the too-frequent loss of life — is beyond unacceptable, and this is my small way of trying to draw attention to the issue.

I will be donating $5 from the sale of this piece to TWOCC, Trans Women of Color CollectiveVisit the shop listing here for more info or to purchase.

The beads are a mix of shimmery clear Czech glass seed beads, faceted fire-polished Czech glass beads in rainbow colors, tiny quartz beads and large chevron amethyst. The pendant features a tiny hand-painted piece of art by Windy Paints, sealed under a glass cabochon.

Amethyst is a type of quartz. It is calming, harmonizing, and good at drawing peaceful energy. It is a wonderful healing stone, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Amethyst can be used to aid in all kinds of psychic work, including enhancing one’s intuition. It can be used to protect travelers and to ward off psychic attack. Like garnet, amethyst was often worn or carried into battle as a protective amulet. Helpful with past life recall. Really, amethyst is just a generally wonderful all-purpose stone!

Quartz, also known as rock crystal, is the most universally known and plentiful mineral. Quartz enhances the energy of other stones around it and is also excellent for use in finding balance, clarity and harmony. It is also used for healing, channeling, clearing negative energy and protection. Its energies can aid in meditation, divination, channeling, manifestation and more.

2015-04-16-Prizes-Sneak-Peek

It’s been a while since I had a giveaway for y’all, so I’ve decided to rectify that by giving away TWO collaborative pieces in the second half of April! Here’s a sneak peek at the prizes that I just finished up tonight,,,

The piece on the left features a fancy beadwork leaf pendant by my friend Tracey at The Healers Touch – A Journey In Healing. This necklace combines labradorite, peridot, serpentine, gold freshwater pearls, glass crystals, metal accent beads, and pressed glass Eye of Providence beads.

The necklace on the right features a sweet hand-painted chakra pendant by my pal Windy over at Windy Paints. This piece combines faceted Czech glass beads with clear quartz and pewter accent beads.

I’d love to hear what you think! Which of these are you most excited about entering to win? Keep an eye on my Facebook page and/or my posts here on the blog over the next week for more info on how to enter both contests… And while you’re at it, please pop over to my co-conspirators’ FB pages to show them some love, too!

OOAK Wood Nymph Necklace with Art Pendant by Esther Remmington

2015-03-20-Wood-Nymph-Faerie-Esther-Remmington-Necklace-OOAK-Art-Moss-Agate-African-Jade-Tigereye-Leaf-GreenOpal-1

This striking, one of a kind necklace combines moss agate, red tiger’s eye (also known as tiger iron), African jade rondelles and large faceted green opal rondelles with shimmery dark gold seed beads, Tibetan silver oak leaves and a lovely art print pendant by Esther Remmington Art. I’ve hung sweet little tinkly bells and a gemstone bauble from the pendant frame.

This is the last pendant featuring Esther’s art that I’ll be able to work with for a while, so if you’re in love, please don’t hesitate to order. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

All metal components are silver-finished base metals or Tibetan silver.

The length is approximately 35″, including the lobster clasp. The pendant hangs down about 4″ from the beaded strand.

Everything is strung on sturdy, flexible, nylon-coated 49-strand stainless steel beading wire.

Sneak peek time!

I was not quite so prolific this morning as I was yesterday, but I’m quite happy with how the pieces I did finish turned out. I would love to hear what you think of these! Which is your favorite?
